Aadhaar Number linking to electricity connections - Deadline Extension latest details?

The last date to link Aadhaar numbers with electricity connection is 31st of December 2022.
Many consumers have still not linked these two. In this situation, the minister for electricity Mr. Senthil Balaji had mentioned that the decision whether to extend or not the last date for linking Aadhaar number with electricity connections would be known in another 2 days. He added that after consulting the CM of Tamil Nadu Mr. MK. Stalin a decision would be taken and an announcement would be made regarding this linking.
It must be recalled that Tangedco has made it clear that the consumer must link their Aadhaar numbers with the electricity connections without fail. From November onwards, special cmps have been set up to link these two. The Tangedco has brought out that these special camps would go on till 31st of December 2022 and the consumers could link their Aadhaar number with the electricity bill number.
It is known that the camps have been organised on all days including Sundays except on the festival days for linking Aadhar number and electricity bill number. Till now, a total of 1.40 crores people have linked their Aadhaar number with electricity connection in the state of Tamil Nadu.
