Fantastic!! At ICF in Chennai, 42 Vande Bharat trains to be manufactured having bed facilities

There are now plans to manufacture long distance Vande Bharat trains with bed facility also. This was mentioned by an officer from the railways.

He hinted that accordingly 42 Vande Bharat trains with sleeping facilities would be manufactured at ICF or Integral Coach factory in Chennai.

Using the indigenous technology at a cost of Rs 97 cr, Vande Bharat trains are being manufactured at Perambur based Integrated Coach Factory. To connect 75 cities across India, the Vande Bharat trains are now running are well known to us.

In India, the Vande Bharat trains are running now between cities like Delhi-Varanasi, Delhi-Katra, Gandhinagar- Mumbai, Amb Andaura- New Delhi, Mysore-Chennai etc. The seventh Vande Bharat trans was manufactured and it has been running between Howrah-New Jalpaiguri. Now, 8th Vande BhArat train is beinG manufactured at ICF in Chennai. In this situation, there are also plans to manufacture Vande Bharat trains with 16 coaches having superb sleeping facilities.

It was explained by an official from the railways that at present the VB trains have just seating facilities. In future, long distance Vnde Bharat trans would be produced with sleeping facilities.

To manufacture 117 Vande Bharat trains, an order was received by the ICF and out of that 75 trains would be manufactured with seating facilities and 42 trains with bed facilities too.

It is superb to mention here that Vande Bharat trains would have 16 coaches of 11 triple decker air-conditioned coaches, 4 double decker air-conditioned coaches and one first class air-conditioned coach. 

There would be 61 berths present in the triple decked air-conditioned coaches, 48 berths present in 2  double decker air-conditioned coaches and 24 berths in one first class air-conditioned coach. As many as 887 passengers would be able to travel in the train and 1 seat would be reserved for the assistant of the physically challenged persons.
