By drinking water:
The stomach would digest the food easily by drinking plain normal water itself. It is important to avoid drinking sparkling water as it would further upset the stomach.
By taking a massage:
We could effectively reduce stomach bloating issues by massaging the stomach from left to right after eating heavy foods. From the base of the abdomen, we could stroke the stomach up to ribcage. Then the palm of the hands must be placed on the back and moved forward over hips, down pelvis sides till groin. This would calm down the stomach well.
By using hot water bag:
This is also one superb method to reduce the uncomfortable feeling after consuming heavy meals. By placing a hot water bag, we could put some heat on the stomach. It is believed that the muscles in the gut would become relaxed by the heat and the trapped gas would move out of the intestines.
By drinking peppermint tea:
We could get a cooling and relaxing effect on the stomach portion by drinking peppermint tea. It is also superb to apply peppermint oil over the stomach area to ease abdominal cramps etc. By this, we could also ease the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome or IBS also.
