The CBSE class 12 students and teachers in Chennai are feeling a little tense now!!

From 16th of February 2023 onwards, the CBSE class 12 public examination would take place in Chennai. For that, the students and teachers from CBSE or Central Board of Secondary Education are gearing up.

In 2022, due to Covid issues etc, the class 12 examination pattern was changed and the examinations were in two instalments. Now, with normalcy back, the class 12 public examination would be held in just one instalment as it was in the pre-Covid times.

The schools were closed due to Coronavirus pandemic and it has led to the online classes for the students. It must be noted that the current class 12 students attended physical classes for their final school year and this after they had studied their lessons mostly online in their class 11.. The Coronavirus pandemic has affected education to a huge extent is known.

According to Mr. Vishnucharan Paneerselvam, correspondent of Shree Niketan Group of Schools, it was very difficult to make the students focus on their studies and the general attention span has reduced now after 2 years of online classes. He spoke about how the students found it tough to focus for a prolonged duration of time inside their classes. He concluded that while planning for the schedules in the school, ancillary periods like library, physical education etc were included after every 2 hours of classes.

Truth is that the teachers have been asked to let the students revise the syllabus at their own pace in the run up to the board exams. This year has been tricky for both students and well as the students. It was brought out by a principal of a Chennai based CBSE school that CBSE`s announcement about the reduction in the syllabus in advance has been helpful.
