Greater Chennai Corporation Focus on the prevention of mosquito breeding! Insecticide sprayed on 817 km distance!

Greeter Chennai Corporation (GCC) has been focusing on the prevention of mosquitoes and mosquito breeding in Chennai Metro City.
Mosquito Insecticide has been sprayed over the last 3 days covering a distance of 817 km.
In a notification regarding this released by the Greater Chennai Corporation, it is mentioned:
"In the areas under the jurisdiction of the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC), mosquito-killing insecticide has been sprayed over the last 3 days covering a distance of 817 km on the Rain Water Drainage System.
Further, mosquito prevention smoke has been spread on the Rain Water Drain Systems covering a distance of 829 km.
Spreading of mosquito prevention smoke has been carried out in 10723 streets!
As regards the Water Reservoirs, Mosquito killing insecticide has been sprayed through drones and boats covering a distance of 208 km.
Stagnant rainwater in 231 streets was removed and sent to the nearest water reservoirs."
