Piped water supply in north Chennai to get disrupted!!

Between 8am on Thursday 23rd February and 8am on Saturday 25th February, there would be disruption in the piped water supply in some places belonging to north Chennai.
It is learnt that maintenance work would be carried out in 1000mm diameter distribution pipeline transmitting water from the desal plant at Minjur to several places. To supply water from the Puzhal water treatment plant, arrangements would be made.
Water would be brought from a diffnt source and it would be distributed to the north Chennai localities like Thiruvottriyur, Ernavoor, Madhavaram, Manali, Kathiavakkam and Vysarpadi etc. Point is that the residents have been asked to store sufficient quantities of water or they could book water through `Dial for water` service on the Chennai metrowater website.
As per the press release it has been confirmed that Chennai metrowater would be supplying water through street tanks and tankers etc.
