Sensational!! Umagine Chennai, the Asias largest summit to take place soon at Chennai Trade Centre!!

To create infra, Tamil Nadu has got fantastic plans now!!

To create infra through Elcot, TN govt has got plans to allocate about a total of 6.15 lakh sq feet space across TN. It must be taken into note that more than 2lakhs sqft space (out of the total) would be allocated in Chennai and the rest in the tier 2 and tier 3 cities.

Mr. Mano Thangaraj, minister for IT & Digital Services spoke about how Elcot would make available of about 6.15 lakhs sqft space with more than 2lakhs sqft space in Chennai alone.
He added that the main objective was to develop other cities also across TN.

At an interactive session with the industry associations, the minister mentioned about 3 day Umagine Chennai 2023 from 23rd March that would be organised by CII along with Elcot. 

He highlighted that efforts would be taken to showcase brand TN and create infra that would enable to focus on the deep technologies etc.

It is superb to.mention that Imagine Chennai 2023 would be the Asias biggest ever summit in technology, entrepreneurship and skills etc. 

The theme would be Leave the Future Behind. Information is that the upcoming summit would host more than 10000 delegates from India and from other countries. 

The place where the summit would be held would be Chennai Trade Centre at Nandambakkam in Chennai.

In 2 to 3 weeks, the TN govt would be unveiling i Tamil Nadu Technology Hub or iTNT. It is noteworthy that iTNT is an idea given by all the stake holders of the IT sector. 

The superb piece of information is that countries like France and Israel etc have already signed an agreement with IT dept and UK would also join these 2 countries.

The TN diaspora across the world would be reached to take part in large numbers as they are the major contributors in the IT industry. In 2022, TN had 16.4% growth in software exports. Truth is that now TN holds third position in the software exports in India. 

The minister spoke about how TN state was revisiting the cyber security policy based on the industrial bidy recomnendations. 

He threw light on how the ministry in 2022 organised an outreach programme to include the students beyond the engineering stream.

Mr. Hansraj Varma, CMD of TIIC mentioned that TN would become number one in India after Umagine 2023.
