The number of judges of Madras High Court has now increased to 58. Today, 27th February 2023, Mr. V. Lakshminarayan was sworn in as the new additional judge of HC of Madras.
It is learnt that a function took place at the meeting hall in the High court of Madras and Mr. V. Lakshminarayanan was administered the oath of office by Mr. T. Raja, Chief Justice.
The newly sworn judge Mr. V. Lakshminarayan was welcomed by the chief advocate of TN Mr. Shanmuga Sundaram, Mr. Amal Raj, chairman of Bar Council and several lawyers and executives of Bar Council etc.
In the sworn in function Mr. V. Lakshminarayan spoke about how his mother passed away when he started studying law and how his elder brother Mr. Raghavachari, s senior lawyer took care of him. He added that taking charge as Judge was more than an achievement.
Point is that with the addition of new Additional Justice Mr. V. Lakshminarayanan the number of judges of Madras HC has increased to 58 now.
Who is Mr. V. Lakshminarayanan?
Born on 4th of October in 1970, Mr. Lakshminarayan did his schooling at MCT Muthiah Chettiar School in Purasawalkam in Chennai. He did his BSc at the famous D.G. Vaishnava College in Arumbakkam.
