Southern Railway to Run Weekly Special Trains to Ease Summer Congestion

Southern Railway has announced the operation of weekly special trains from April 2nd to reduce crowding during the summer season.
The trains will run between Tirunelveli-Thambaram via Madurai, Dindigul, Trichy, Villupuram, and Chengalpattu.
As per the press release issued by Southern Railway, the Tirunelveli - Thambaram weekly special train will depart from Tirunelveli on April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, and May 7, 14, 21, 28, and June 4, 11, 18, 25 at 7.20 pm on Sundays. It will arrive at Tambaram at 9:20 AM on Mondays.
Similarly, the Tambaram - Tirunelveli weekday special will depart from Tambaram at 10:20 PM on April 3, 10, 17, 24, May 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29, and June 5, 12, 19, 26. The train will reach Tirunelveli at 10:40 AM the following day.
The train will stop at Cheran Mahadevi, Ambasamudram, Kalakkadaiyum, Bhavoorchatram, Thenkasi, Rajapalayam, Srivilliputhur, Sivakasi, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Trichy, Virutthachalam, Villupuram, and Chengalpattu.
