Aavin is now making news for the wrong reasons!!
It was brought out by the milk Agents welfare associations that 60,000 litres of milk distributed by Aavin Company has been spoiled. Many residents are unhappy now.
The strike by the milk producers in TN has been continuing and has not ended till now. In this situation,the milk supply to Aavin has been affected severely. There are now issues regarding the distribution of Aavin milk packets across TN. The public have been affected badly due to the milk shortage. According to the Aavin company, there has been no disruption in the supply of milk for the customers and it has been supplying milk continuously despite protests from the milk producers.
There have been some complaints about Aavin company that it was operating in a short cut manner to get a good name from the TN govt and from the chief minister of TN. It was brought out that Aavin has been procuring milk powder and butter from Maharashtra, churning and emulsifying them to produce milk and distributing the milk to its consumers.
Now, the milk agents have complained that around 60,000 litres of stabilized milk from Aavin that was produced on Saturday evening, kept in the cooling room and sent for distribution on Sunday early morning were spoiled as the milk powder and butter were not balanced properly during the production of stabilised milk at Ambattur based Aavin milk dairy farm.
The customers who procured green milk packets from the milk agents have disputed that the milk issued to them was spoiled. As a result, the milk agents in place sliek Ambattur, Avadi, Padi, Pattabiram, Mogappair, Anna Nagar, Nerkundram, Maduravoyal etc had faced severe problems. It is now brought out that around 60000litresof stabilised milk packets have gone bad and it led to a loss of Rs 26 lakhs.
