Chennai traffic police and FM Radio station join hands - Music signals launched at the traffic junctions in Chennai now!!

Combining music with road safety traffic messages through public addressing systems at several traffic junctions in Chennai!! Sounds incredible right!!
Now, the traffic police in Chennai are making news for this reason. The music signals are present in 105 road junctions in Chennai now.
It must be noted that the main objective behind the installation of music signals was to make the motorists and commuters calm by making them listen to their favourite songs. They would then become safe road users.
At the busy Anna Nagar Roundtana, the Chennai police commissioner Mr. Shankar Jiwal introduced the music signals in the presence of additional commissioner of police, traffic Mr. Kapil Kumar Saratkar.
The public addressing system has been installed by the traffic police in Chennai at 105 junctions. To announce messages on road safety and regulate traffic, the traffic personnel would use the PA system. Now, music would also be displayed along with these messages. The Chennai traffic police have associated with a FM radio station and a music company so that there won`t be any repetitions of music and traffic messages.
It was later confirmed by a press release from Chennai traffic police that there would be more than 300 songs and 40 road safety messages without any repetitions.
