In a notification released by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre, it is mentioned:
"As per the record yesterday (Friday, 7th April), 1 cm of rain has been recorded in the last 24 hours at the dams Perunchani, Adavinayinar Manimutharu and Thirparappu.
As of yesterday evening, a maximum temperature of 38 Degrees Celsius was recorded in Erode, Madurai and Trichy. A maximum temperature of 39 Degrees was recorded in Karur and Paramathi.
As such, a temperature of more than 100 Degrees Fahrenheit has been recorded in the above places.
There ARE PROSPECTS FRO RAIN FOR 3 DAYS FROM TODAY (Saturday, 9th April) in the Southern and the Northern Interior Districts of Tamil Nadu."
