Order of the Department of Education: Admissions for students in all Government Schools from today!

As per the notification released by the Department of Education of the State Government of Tamil Nadu, it is mentioned that there are over 37,000 government schools functioning in the state of Tamil Nadu, with around 53 lakh students studying in these schools.
The annual examinations for the current academic year (2022-23) will conclude on the 28th of April. In this situation, the Department of Education of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has taken a decision to commence the procedure of admissions earlier (before the reopening of schools after the summer vacation), as practiced by all private schools.
Therefore, the Department of Education has completed all the required preparatory work for the admission procedure, and advertisements are being put up, especially in social networking media, that the admission process for classes in government schools will commence a day or two from today (Monday, 17th April).
An awareness parade, titled "Let us celebrate the Government Schools," is planned to be conducted from today (Monday, 17th April) until the 28th of April in all districts to create awareness about government schools.
In the special program complex exclusively prepared for this awareness parade, the plans of the State Government of Tamil Nadu for government schools, the activities of teaching and learning, and the activities of the councils in this regard will all be presented during this period. All government school teachers will participate in this parade.
The funds for organizing the celebrations of the admission of students in government schools will be allotted from the Directorate of Unified School Education.
Parents who are interested in the admission of their children in standards 1 to 9 can visit the nearest government school and register the names of their children.
