New place with gym, food stalls etc to be available for the north Chennai residents to hang out with their families, friends etc!!

In the future, the beaches are going to change amazingly in north Chennai!!
At an estimated amount of Rs 36 crores, the TN govt would be developing the beaches in north Chennai such as Thiruvottiyur, Kasimedu etc. This would allow these north Chennai residents to have new places to hang around with their families and friends etc.
It was recently announced by the CMDA minister Mr. PK. Sekar Babu that the 5km stretch between Thiruvottiyur beach and Bharatiyar Nagar would be re-developed.He has also mentioned that with an amount of Rs 6 crores the shoreline in Kasimedu would also be re-developed .
To prepare the beach design, a consultant would be appointed and this was as per JJ. Ebenezer, MLA for RK Nagar constituency. It must be noted that this MLA had initially requested for the development project during CMDA visioning exercise. A feasibility study has been conducted by a senior planner from CMDA.
Ebenezer spoke about how the shoreline was in a poor condition and how there was scope for improvement. There would be walking, running tracks plus yoga facility, open gym, lounge area, food stalls etc here in the future.
By this north Chennai would be developed well. As per a social activist here, proper protection must be provided for the visitors as the abducting Ennore High road witnesses huge traffic. He highlighted that it was a superb move to develop a beach in north Chennai. Strict surveillance of the shoreline area must be there because the sea here is deep in this stretch.
