Sudden appearance of Sivalinga at Kanniyakumari beach has caught the attention of many!!

The inundation of sea at convergence of 3 seas has made Sivalinga to come out now in Kanniyakumari in Tamil Nadu. This has caught the attention of many. It must be noted that the devotees worshipped the idol by anointing it. It is known that Kanniyakumari has been experiencing natural changes such as dip in the sea level plus others like inundation, rising sea level, no tide etc.
At the Triveni Sangamam beach in Kanniyakumari, the day before evening the sea receded to a depth of 50 feet. This has led to the submerged rocks and sandbars etc coming outside.
The sensational piece of news is that a 2 feet height idol of Shivalingam carved into a rock on the sea was also visible. This has made many devotees come here to get darshan of Lord Shiva. The day before was pradosham day and therefore the devotees immediately collected the abhishekam materials and did special abhishekam for the Sivalingam. They put garlands on the statue and deeparadhanai took place. The tourists thronged in huge numbers on the beach to worship the Sivalingam that came out. As the sea returned to its normal state yesterday morning, the Sivalingam sank into the sea.
