A great leader whose life and contributions will be included in the 9th class textbooks in TN?

Former chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi has contributed a lot towards the growth and development of both Tamil language and the state. Soon, the Tamil textbooks of class 9 would have a topic on the life and the contributions made by the former chief minister of TN. This was announced on Thursday at the Assembly by the school education minister Mr. Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi.
From the coming academic year 2023-24, the life and contributions of Mr. M. Karunanidhi would be included in the textbooks. He threw light on how the former CM of Tamil Nadu started his public life at the age of 14 and at age of 86 took steps to obtain classical language status for Tamil. The life of the former CM would be made part of class 9 text book from the academic year 2023-24 onwards.
The school education minister concluded that by including the life of the former chief minister in the Tamil textbook, Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi would be honoured. It is important to mention that the next academic year begins from June month and year long celebrations of Karunanidhi`s birth centenary would be launched on 3rd June.
