Superb transformation of Kasimedu beach in north Chennai!!

In another 3 months, beautification of Kasimedu beach would start and this was according to the CMDA minister Mr. Sekarbabu. The CMDA or Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority would be doing the beautification work.
First, a detailed project report or DPR for beautification of Kasimedu beach would be readied.Later, the estimates would be made after clearing the encroachments.The Kasimedu beach would be beautified at an amount of Rs 6 crores. It is now brought to light that about 100 families living near the beach would be shifted and alternate housing would be provided.
To execute the budget announcements of CMDA for the 2023-24 financial year, 4 locations in north Chennai were inspected on Tuesday by CMDA minister Mr. Sekarbabu, CMDA member secretary, Mr. Anshul Mishra, Housing secretary Apoorva and several other officials etc.
For FY 2023-24, the CMDA minister announced 50 schemes for the CMDA as per the directions of the chief minister of TN Mr. MK. Stalin. In the first phase, 34 schemes pertaining to the development of 26 assembly constituencies in CMA would be taken up.
For establishing a rehabilitation centre for differently able persons and a physiotherapy and dialysis centre at Kondithope at an estimate of Rs 10 crores, the CMDA minister conducted site inspections too. He then inspected the site for modernisation of Tondiarpet bus depot. An amount of Rs 25 cr would be spent for this modernisation. At an estimated cost of Rs 6 cr, the development of a community hall at Moolakothalam in Royapuram zone would be taken up.
