With the summer vacation already in progress throughout the country, there is an ever-increasing teeming crowd of devotees at Tirupati Lord Venkateswara Temple. Therefore, the Thirumalai Tirupati Devasthanam Board (TTD) has announced that priority for Darshan will be given to ordinary citizens.
A review meeting was conducted on Saturday, 29th April at the Annamaiya Bhavan in Thirumalai-Tirupati to discuss the various arrangements made to handle the surplus crowd of devotees. The review meeting was presided over by Dharma Reddy, the Managing Director of TTD. In his address, he stated:
"As summer has started, the crowd of devotees has increased in Tirupati. It is expected that this surge in the crowd of devotees will continue until the end of July.
Therefore, the officials must attend their duties without taking leave. If necessary, officials working at other temples must temporarily work at the Tirupati temple."
