The cool and pleasant days are likely to get over now in Chennai and across TN!!
As a cyclone has been brewing over the Bay of Bengal, the day temperatures are likely to increase in the next few days. As per IMD for the next 2 days, Chennaia and its suburbs would have a maximum temp of 36 degrees Celsius and a minimum temp of 26 degrees Celsius. It has been predicted that the skies might be partly cloudy and there are possibilities of thunderstorms and lightning with light to moderate rains in a few places.
Yesterday, IMD has mentioned that the low pressure area over Bay of Bengal and the adjoining south Andaman Sea has intensified into well marked low pressure over the same region. Information is that this is likely to intensify into a depression and subsequently into a cyclonic storm over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of eastcentral Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea on 10th of May.
It must be taken into account that yesterday in Nungambakkam and in Meenambakkam the maximum day temperatures recorded were 35.3 degrees Celsius and 36.3 degrees Celius respectively. In the coming days, the temperatures would increase in Chennai and in TN as the cyclone would drag all the moisture from the land.
