It has been 2 months since a part of new integrated terminal was inaugurated at the Chennai airport. The news now is that IndiGo would begin international flight operations from Monday midnight. In the last 2 months, extensive trials were held at this new terminal in the Chennai airport.
It has been confirmed by an officer belonging to AAI that the shifting of the narrow body aircraft operations to the new integrated terminal would begin from 13th of June. Information is that indiGo and other airlines would follow later this week and by July the wide body aircraft operations would begin at the new terminal.
It is learnt that indiGo would be operating flights from the new terminal in Chennai to places like Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Muscat etc.
