Good news: Payments can be made on UPI without the Internet!

UPI is an avenue for 24-hour payment, which enables users to conduct secure transactions in real time. Currently, approximately 90% of the population carries out their financial transactions online. The most notable feature of UPI is that it offers free transactions.
In this context, Punjab National Bank has introduced a new feature called UPI 123PAY, which allows users to perform UPI transactions without requiring an internet connection. This facility is available to all mobile phone users.
Here is the procedure to use UPI 123PAY :
- Dial the Punjab National Bank IVR number: 9188-123-123.
- The application is available in multiple languages for your convenience.
- Select the customer to whom you wish to make the payment.
- Confirm the transaction.
- During the registration process for UPI 123PAY, you will be required to create a 4-6 digit UPI PIN.
- For each transaction using this mode, the payer needs to enter the PIN.
