Surprising news about the number of people from foreign countries who visited TN!!

The tourism minister Mr.K. Ramachandran expressed his happiness regarding the number of foreign tourists who have visited Tamil Nadu this year. He revealed that more visitors from abroad or foreign countries came to Tamil Nadu this year compared to last year.
Truth is that when compared to the whole of last year the total number of foreign visitors from January till May in 2023 was higher. Information is that in the entire 2022 about 4.07lakhs foreign tourists came to TN and in 2023 from Jan till May about 4.42 lakhs foreign visitors came to Tamil Nadu. In just 2months in April and May 2023, 1.74lakh foreign tourists arrived in Tamil Nadu.
Ever since the Coronavirus pandemic struck in 2020, the number of foreign visitors to TN decreased and only in 2021 it began to increase slowly. Point is that TN received 12.21 cr domestic tourists in the first 5 months in 2023. In the entire 2022, the domestic tourists to TN was 21.85 crores.
