The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects of rain in the next 3 hours in 10 districts of the state of Tamil Nadu.
It has been raining heavily for the past 2 days in Chennai Metro City as well as the state of Tamil Nadu.
It rained last night in Chennai Metro City with lightning and thunder, continuing beyond midnight. Subsequently, it remained cloudy with drizzle, persisting until early morning.
A holiday has been declared for schools in the districts of Thirupathur and Thiruvannamalai due to the heavy rains.
However, a holiday has not been declared in the districts of Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, and Thiruvallur.
Additionally, the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that the rains will persist for 2 more days in Tamil Nadu.
Given the situation, the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has further informed that there are prospects of rain in the next 3 hours in 10 districts of Tamil Nadu. Accordingly, there are prospects of mild to medium rain in the 10 districts of Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Thiruvallur, Ranippettai, Vellore, Mayiladuthurai, Krishnagiri, Thanjavur, and Karur.
