Now, Kamakshi and Vilva Mutheeswari from Ramanathapuram district in TN have become the talk of the town !!
From 24th to 26th June 2023, The Asian Yoga Sports Cup Championship took place at Bangkok in Thailand. The championship witnessed 125 yoga competitors from as manya s 30 countries like India, Thailand, China, Hong Kong etc.
In this Yogasana cup championship, Kamatchi from Bossukudipatti near Mudukulathur in Ramanathapuram dist in TN participated and she took many by surprise.It must be noted that the students from TN took part in the sports event on the behalf of Asian Sports Yoga Federation of India. She won 2 gold medals by coming first in the two competitions (in a traditional yoga round held for those from age 24 to 28 and group yoga for 18 years and more). It is worth mentioning that she came third and took the Bronze medal in the Yoga Artistic Fair.
In the Yoga competitions that took place for those between the age 14 to 18, class 12 students named Vilva Mutheeswari came third and collected a Bronze medal. Best of luck to Kamakshi and Vilva Mutheeswari for their future!!
