Extension of breakfast Scheme - Now, more than 30000 govt schools in Chennai and across TN get sensational benefits!!

More than 30000 schools functioning in the corporations, municipalities, tow panchayats etc have not got a reason to rejoice!!
The news is that the TN state govt has issued orders to extend the chief minister`s breakfast scheme to 31008 govt schools present in the above said places across TN.
The secretary to the government, social welfare dept, Shunchonngam Jatak Chiru had sent a GO and as per the GO it was clear that orders have been issued to extend the breakfast scheme of the CM of TN to 1575900 students of classes 1 to 5 studying in 31008 govt schools in the financial year 2023-24. It must be noted that the TN govt has already allotted Rs 404.41 crores to extend the scheme benefits and it has been under implementation.
It must be recalled that on 20th March 2023, the finance minister for TN Mr. PTR Palanivel Rajan had mentioned that the scheme would be extended to 30122 schools in which about 18lakhs students would get benefited. The officers have been given instructions by the TN govt to make sure that the students were provided with locally grown millet based breakfast for atleast twice per week.
