On the occasion of the Centenary Anniversary of the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has announced that special property sales deed registration centers will be set up throughout the state within a year.
In an order/notification released by Selvakumar, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Revenues, it is mentioned:
"On the occasion of the centenary celebrations of the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, it has been decided to organize 100 special property sales deed registration camps throughout Tamil Nadu within a year.
In these special camps, eligible candidates will be given the sales deeds. Applications regarding changes to be made in the sale deed will also be received and registered online. Immediate action will be taken on eligible applications, and the transfer of sales deeds will be provided online to eligible applicants.
Corrections will be made to income-related documents. Applications for corrections of sales deeds in various registration documents/sales deeds will be received, immediate inquiries will be conducted, and immediate correction orders will be given and completed. Accordingly, changes will be made in the department`s software as well.
Other applications received in these special sales deed registration camps will be sent to the relevant offices for immediate corrective action. Corrective actions will be taken within a month for all applications received in these special camps, and the necessary corrective action will be undertaken.
According to the guidelines above, District Revenue Officers will be responsible for monitoring the organization of these special camps.
Apart from the Chennai District, 100 special camps are proposed to be organized in the other 37 districts. Two special camps in each of Ariyalur, Ramanathapuram, Ranippettai, Erode, Karur, Kallakkurichi, Kanyakumari, Krishnagiri, Sivagangai, Dharmapuri, Thirupathur, Thiruvarur, Thenkasi, Theni, Nagappattinam, Namakkal, Perambalur, Mayiladuthurai, and Villupuram will be conducted.
Three camps each will be organized in the districts of Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Thanjavur, Dindigul, Thirunelveli, Tirupur, Thiruvannamalai, Thoothukkudi, Nilgiri, Pudhukkottai, Virudhunagar, and Vellore.
Four camps each will be organized in the districts of Cuddalore, Trichy, Thiruvallur, and Madurai.
Five camps each will be conducted in the districts of Coimbatore and Salem."
