An important issue in the Chennai airport that is making the passengers unhappy now!!

The two new ground handling agencies like Celibi Airport Services India and Globe Ground India should have started their operations by now at Chennai airport. The bitter fact is that these two have not yet commenced their operations. This has led to a huge delay in baggage handling now at the airport as just one agency Air India Airport Services Limited has been handling the baggage. As a result, the passengers are unhappy due to the delay.
It must be recalled that in 2022 AAI appointed the above-mentioned two new ground handling agencies at the Chennai airport as additional handling agencies. Now, the new integrated terminal is functioning fully and the airport authorities focus on clearing the rush by effective baggage handling.
From 1st of August 2023, Celebi Airport Services India would commence their work and this was according to Mr. Murali Ramachandran, president of the company. He hinted that the company has been hiring 750 employees and they would be focussed on delivering superb ground handling services at the airport. He added that his company would provide the passengers with eco-friendly technologies such as digitalised service charge forms etc. It is now said that the standard and overall safety on the ramp side would be improved by these 2 companies.
