From just 25 students to more than 9000 now- Book distribution work by Rajasthan Youth Association in Chennai!!

Yesterday, Sunday, 16th July 2023, 60th Annual Book Bank function under Rajasthan Youth Association was organised in Chennai. The news is that about 1200 poor students received books during the function.
About 5 decades back, a bunch of college students started this annual book bank function to help the poor students with books etc. This has grown amazingly now and it supports thousands of students in Chennai and across the state.
According to Mr. Rajesh Kumar Jain, when it was started in 1964 20 members helped just 25 college students with books etc. Currently, the association is providing its help every year to more than 9000 poor and deserving students studying in the arts and sciences and engineering colleges etc in TN
He spoke about how this was an extensive process and the members visited colleges and checked with the authorities about the syllabus. The members ensured that the students received books for the entire course.
