How the TN govt would stop consumers from drinking alcohol?

Drinking alcohol is dangerous for health, but who cares?
Every day in TN, many even with poor health consume alcohol for various reasons.
Now the minister for prohibition and excise Mr. S. Muthuswamy had mentioned that the TN govt would be rolling out an action plan to stop alcohol consumption by new consumers and those elderly ones with some health issues etc.
He spoke about how to kick off this bad habit of alcohol intake, the consumers would be identified and counselled. Even those elders or senior citizens with health issues would be counselled to refrain from drinking alcohol. To create awareness and to sensitise people, a campaign vehicle would be stationed near Tasmac shops in districts.
The minister was questioned regarding introducing liquor in tetra packs and 90ml packs and for that he replied that the proposal was only under consideration but not yet finalised. He revealed that the TN govt had not thought about opening the liquor shops at 7am in the morning.
