Counselling for admission to graduate engineering courses for common cadre - commences today - 28th July!

The counseling for admission to the graduate engineering courses for the common or general cadre is scheduled to commence today – Friday, 28th July.
There are 1.57 Lakh seats available for pursuing graduate engineering courses in the 430 engineering colleges functioning under Anna University.
The counseling for admission to the above courses commenced ONLINE on the 22nd of July.
In the first phase, counseling for the special cadre candidates – heirs of ex-military personnel, differently-abled, and sports specialists – was conducted ONLINE from the 22nd of July until the 26th of July. There are 8764 seats available in the special cadre, and out of these, only 775 seats were filled. Among these, 90 seats were allocated to the 7.5% quota allotted for students from government high schools.
Subsequently, the ONLINE counseling for the general or common cadre students is scheduled to commence today (Friday, 28th July). The selected candidates need to choose their preferred college, receive the temporary seat allotment order, confirm it, and obtain the final seat allotment order as per the given guidelines.
