In every nook and corner, many cyber crimes take place these days and many people get affected.
To prevent the Chennai public from getting affected, the cybercrime police have given a warning now to the public about the fraudsters. The cybercrime police have asked the people against clicking any link ( to update Pan card details)sent by fraudsters claiming to represent Indian Post Payments Bank or IPPB. It is shocking to mention that if the link gets clicked then the fraudsters would access the bank accounts of the victims immediately and wipe out the balance.
Various details the fake or fraud link asks from the public are account number, customer ID, mobile number, DOB details, Pan card number and Aadhar card number etc.
Mr. Sanjay Kumar, ADGP (cyber crimes), advised the public against clicking links received from unknown sources through emails, SMSes, Whatsapp, Telegram etc. He also asked the public not to share their OTPs with anyone over phone calls or messages etc.
