No drinking water supply in Ambattur, Adyar, Teynampet, Kodambakkam etc!!

The Chennai Metro Water Board has mentioned in its press release regarding the ongoing maintenance works at Chembarambakkam lake dam.
It was revealed that WRD would be carrying out maintenance work at the Chembarambakkam lake dam. As a result of this, the water supply through pipelines from Chembarambakkam drinking water treatment plant would be stopped from 8am on 31st of July 2023 to 8am on 1st of August 2023 in localities like Ambattur, Anna Nagar, Teynampet, Kodambakkm, Adyar, Alandur and Valasaravakkam etc. The public have been asked to store enough water as a precaution.
In case of an urgency, the public would be able to get drinking water through water lorries by contacting the website https://cmwssb.tn.gov.in.
It is learnt that in those areas without water supply connection and in low pressure areas etc, the supply of drinking water provided by the trucksto water tanks etc would be carried out as usual and there would not be any hindrance.
