9000 rate cards have been distributed in a single day

After the revision of auto fares, till now 9000 rate cards has been distributed and also the auto drivers have been instructed to follow the new revised rates. The government has been fixed Rs.25.00 for 1.8 km and Rs.12 for every additional km. The rate cards are doled out by the RTO offices; however people who have received the new rate cards have not started to follow the new rate system. They say that they have time to repair the meter and hence not adhering to the new rate.
