Environmental conservation and protection of marine life would be given lots of importance at the upcoming second edition of the TNIKF or Tamil Nadu International Kite Festival.
Where it would be held:
The kite festival would take place at TTDC Ocean View Mahabalipuram from 12th to 15th of August 2023.
Theme of the festival:
Information gathered is that the theme of this kite festival would be Wings of Waves: Save Marine Life, Save Mother Earth. It is now said that this upcoming TNIKF would promote domestic tourism plus enhance visitors experiences and raise environmental based awareness among the people.
It is learnt that this international kite festival would have sea-animal themed show kites that would deliver a powerful message regarding the importance of environmental conservation etc.
The visitors would feel excited and thrilled to witness participation of international kite teams. These teams would be bringing together as many as200 kites from countries like Thailand, Indonesia, France, Vietnam, China, Malaysia, Singapore and India.
It was then revealed by Mr. Benedict Savio, director of Global Media Box and festival organizer that there has been tremendous support from Mr. Sandeep Nandhuri, director of tourism and MD of TTDC. He spoke highly about how Mr. Sandeep has been welcoming new ideas and how without him the upcoming kite festival might not be possible. Truth is that this TNIKF would not be a regular kite flying festival but it`s a superb display of art and culture from across the world. He concluded that this kite festival would be a spectacular event and only kite flyers come to showcase.
