Time extended until 30th September to renew your Aadhar card free!

The Aadhar card serves as the primary form of identity for all citizens of India, confirming their citizenship. It is recommended that individuals renew their Aadhar card once every 10 years.
In this context, an earlier announcement had specified the 11th of June as the deadline for free Aadhar card renewal. However, this deadline has now been extended until the 30th of September to allow for free renewal of Aadhar cards.
It`s important to note that if individuals opt to renew their Aadhar card through an Aadhar Centre, a service charge of Rs. 50/- is applicable.
Currently, the procedure to renew the Aadhar card online is as follows:
- Begin by visiting the website: https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/
- Select the option - `Renew Your Aadhar Card`.
- Choose the `Statistics for Renewal of Aadhar Card` option.
- Subsequently, a One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the mobile phone number linked to the Aadhar card. Enter this OTP code and select the `Data for Renewal of Aadhar Card` option.
- Update the information as required. Save and download the updated data.
- Utilize the URN (Update Request Number) to track the status of the Aadhar card renewal application.
