Not traffic congestion but a new problem for the pedestrians and motorists traveling along OMR in Chennai!!

Travelling along the OMR or Old Mahabalipuram Road in southern Chennai is not that easy now!!
Point to be noted is that areas along the OMR are turning into cattle sheds now. As a result, many cattles (cows0 roam freely here on the roads leading to many problems for both pedestrians and for the motorists.
In the recent months, the cattle issue has become more here and this was according to mr. Harsha Koda, co-founder of Federation of OMR Residents Associations. He revealed that he had given 4 complaints (about the cattle menace) to the local bodies. Out of the 4 complaints, 2 complaints were about cattle menace in Siruseri and Thiruporur in the Chengalpet district and 2 complaints about cattle menace in those areas under Chennai Corporation.
The residents along the OMR have also given complaints to the local bodies regarding the roaming of cattles on the roads creating issues for the pedestrians and motorists. As many of the residents were unaware about the proper registration of their complaints, the concerned officers couldn`t take any action. To attract the attention of many, the residents have been using social media now.
