From the year 1975 onwards, Lord Venkateswara temple located in the busy T. Nagar locality in Chennai has been attracting lots of devotees every day. This temple established by Tirupati trust is now grabbing many eyeballs.
As the temple premises have become extremely congested now due to devotees, there is a need to expand the temple. For the expansion of this temple now, a group of donors belonging to Tamil Nadu have donated Rs 5.11 crores to TTD or Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. Mr. AJ, Sekhar Reddy, committee president of TTD local advisory committee has proposed to take the expansion of this important temple
Information collected is that Rs 35 crores would be spent now to purchase 5.5 grounds of lands adjacent to this temple and this would be done by Tamil Nadu LAC. It is known that the approval has been given by the TTD Trust board. To raise donations to purchase lands, TN LAC floated Sri Venkateswara Bhudanam Scheme.
Mr. AJ. Sekhar Reddy and a group of donors extended a donation of Rs 8.15 crores to the TTD. It must be taken into account that on Monday, another group of donors from TN donated a sum of Rs 5.11 crores to the Tirupati Trust.

Those who donated were RapidCare Group Pvt Ltd Rs 1.5crores, Mr. Venkata Subramanian Rs 1 cr, Mr. Nagarajan Rs 1 crore, CR Constructions Coimbatore Rs 1 cr, Mr. Maru Sreesan Rs 20 lakhs, Mr. Shenbagamoorthy Rs 20 lakhs, Sri Balaha Chemicals Rs 10 lakhs, Mr. Naresh Subramanyam Rs 10 lakhs and Neeladri Packaging Rs 1 lakh.
To raise the balance amount of funds of Rs 22crores, the donation drive would go on and this was as per TN LAC president. Mr. Subba Reddy, chairman TTD,applauded the huge efforts of Mr.Ssekhar Reddy in bringing in the donations.
