Southern Railway has unveiled plans to address the expected surge in passenger traffic between Tambaram and Nellai by introducing special train services from August 11th to 15th.
Recognizing the potential for increased congestion during this period, Southern Railway has taken proactive measures to ensure seamless travel experiences. Commencing on August 11th, a special train (Number 06051) is scheduled to depart from Tambaram at 5:00 pm, reaching Nellai at 4:15 am the following day.
Similarly, the return journey will commence with special train (Number 06052) departing from Nellai at 5:50 pm on August 12th, reaching Tambaram at 4:10 am on the subsequent day. These special services have been strategically designed to alleviate passenger influx during the holiday rush.
The designated stops for the special train include Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, and Trichy stations. Additionally, major railway hubs such as Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, and Kovilpatti will also be part of the itinerary.
