Absence of PT period or playing period in the TN schools is a cause for concern now!!

The children in the TN schools are not happy now due to the absence of physical education period or playing period and associated sports kits. It is well known that SED or school education dept has been implementing many schemes in the schools for the benefit of the students. This has been done to make the government schools on par with the private schools. Not only the absence of PT periods is worrying now but also the NSS and NCC in the schools have taken a back seat.
The subject teachers take the available one or two PT periods in a week and this was according to a student belonging to govt school in Egmore. The absence of physical education teachers and lack of sports kits have been an issue now.
Basic leisure and physical activity of the students have been affected now with the implementation of several schemes. This was pointed out by a teacher from Villupuram based govt school.
