Moderate Rain Expected in 14 Tamil Nadu Districts, RMC Reports

The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Chennai has forecasted the likelihood of moderate rain in 14 districts of Tamil Nadu within the next three hours. The districts include Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Ranipet, Villupuram, Kallakurichi, Salem, Namakkal, Tiruchy, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagai, and Pudukottai.
The RMC previously issued a statement on August 17, indicating that due to fluctuations in the westerly wind speed, there might be light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in one or two places across Tamil Nadu between August 18 and August 23. Additionally, Chennai and its suburbs experienced heavy rainfall recently, affecting areas such as Nungambakkam, Valluvar Kottam, Kodambakkam, T Nagar, North Osman Road, Tambaram, Perungalathur, and Vandalur.
