We are still looking ahead for the festive seasons to fill everyone with delight, but the fuel price has hiked by 30% with the devaluation of the rupee which has increased the air fares for Diwali season.
Unbelievably the return trip cost which was Rs.7000 has now increased to up to Rs. 13,000. A trip from Mumbai to Delhi is expected to cost up to Rs.12, 000 by the weekend during Diwali. Similarly, a trip from Mumbai to Kolkata is expected to be up to Rs.16, 000, even if booked now. This hike clearly means that it is not only with the increase in fuel cost and operational costs but also some other forces driving behind.
