The University of Madras or MU has added a new feather to its cap now!!
It is a known fact that the National Quality Assessment Accreditation Council or NAC has been providing quality assessment by measuring the qualities of the universities and colleges based on their performances. A maximum of A ++ or A plus plus would be given to an educational institution.
It is learnt that the University of Madras has applied to NAC for recognition and on 10t and 11th August 2023 a team of 7 conducted a thorough investigation at the University of Madras premises. The sensational piece of news that has come out is that the NAC has given the University of Madras A ++ recognition. In the overall grade point average, MU has got 3.59 out of a total of 4 points. Now, MU has been recognised for its amazing performance plus structure, development and education growth etc.
University of Madras history:
Known as Chennai Palkalaikazhagam, University of Madras or MU was established on 5th of September in 1857. This MU is a public state university in Chennai and is one of the oldest and prominent universities in the entire India. It has got as manya s 6 campuses in Chennai in places like Chepauk, Marina, Guindy, Taramani, Maduravoyal and Chetpet. Under 87 academic departments of PG teaching and Research grouped under 18 schools, the MU offers as many as 230 courses. It is worthy to note that MU houses national centres for advanced research in Nanotechnology,Photonics and Neurotoxicity.
