Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation to Sell Firecrackers on Chennai Island for 15 Days Prior to Diwali

Chennai Island, in keeping with tradition, will witness the sale of firecrackers ahead of the Diwali festival, according to an announcement by the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation.
While Diwali is scheduled for October 12 this year, firecrackers will be available for purchase on the island from October 29 to November 12.
To facilitate this, arrangements have been put in place to establish 55 shops across the archipelago for the sale of firecrackers.
