The production of eggs in Namakkal in TN has come down now by 10%. The reason for this is due to the unusually high temperatures.
The president of Eggs Poultry Farmers Marketing Society of TN Mr. Vangili Subramaniam mentioned that the egg production normally comes down especially in the summer seasons due to very high temperatures. He then explained that the egg production would increase from June onwards when the temperature goes down. The poultry farming would be carried out well from the June month.
He hinted that the frequent changes in the temperature that has been going on now has led to the egg productivity to drop.
No increase in the egg prices:
It is amazing to note that despite low egg production the prices of eggs have not increased. In the northern parts of India, the holy month of `Shrawan` is being observed now and this has led to reduction in the demand for eggs now. It is known that in this period people normally do not consume eggs as well as non-vegetarian foods etc.
Truth is that due to the low egg demand now the prices of eggs in other hubs like Hyderabad etc has also decreased.
