Superb news!! Puzhal - Tambaram bypass to be well lit now!!

Don`t be surprised if you come across many LED lights on the medians and service roads along Puzhal- Tambaram bypass in the future!!
Poles are being installed now and in another 2 months, an important demand of the motorists would become a reality. It is now said that the 32km,long Puzhal- Tambaram bypass connecting Ambattur, Maduravoyal and Porur would be well lit in 2 months. It was mentioned by an official from NHAI that as many as 2133 LED lights would be installed on the medians and service roads. He hinted that the contractor has started installing the poles for LED lights and the work would get over in 2 months. Now, those locations near toll plazas alone would be lit with about 80 lamp posts.
The absence of illumination has led to many accidents here and this was as per a resident from Vinayagapuram in Kolathur. Many heavy vehicles travel through the Puzhal- Tambaram bypass and driving vehicles was dangerous without proper lights.
Two wheeler commuters who use the road to reach Ambattur, Porur and Tambaram for work would get benefited by this LED lights installation along the Puzhal –Tambaram bypass. This was according to a taxi driver from Ambattur.
It must not be forgotten that in August in 2022 members of the Federation of Maduravoyal Residents Welfare Associations, TN State Sand Lorry Owners Federation, traders organisations etc protested against the absence of lighting on the bypass with torchlights near the tollgate in Vanagaram. Truth is that the city police had also asked NHAI to provide lighting along the bypass.
