Now, the residents belonging to Abhiramapuram in Chennai have got a reason to feel happy!!
The news is that a pet park would be coming up here and it would help the pet lovers to take their pets out for a stroll. A portion of GCC Park in the Demonte Colony in Abiramapuram would be converted into a pet park. This decision has made many pet lovers feel happy but they want the pet owners to be cautious while bringing their pets to the park.
As per the MLA from Mylapore Mr. Velu, pets were not allowed inside parks and taking them inside the apartment complexes was not encouraged. He hinted about the submission of the pet park proposal to the GCC and to the special project wing of the chief minister.
Facilities to be present:
He revealed that the pet park would have facilities like play area, grooming space, fountains, restrooms etc. The pet park would be operated and maintained by a pet consultant firm. Truth is that the pet park would be developed under the Namakku Naame scheme. Responsible pet ownership and strengthening community bonds among pet owners etc would be promoted and workshops would be held also.
This upcoming pet park would be the first one in Chennai and there are many such ones in foreign nations. This was mentioned by Tamil Nadu Animal Welfare Board member Shruti Vinodhraj. She added that only vaccinated pets must be allowed in the pet park and the owners must control the aggressive pets.
