Super news!! Inauguration of new 6 storey building at Kilpauk Govt Hospital in Chennai!!

Kilpauk govt hospital in Chennai is a premier hospital that is being visited by many patients every day. It has been functioning for the past 63 years is a well known fact.

The news now is that a new 6 storey building with 450 bed facilities would be open for the public use from 17th of September onwards.

State of art technology:

It is important to mention that in Kilpauk govt hospital the special units are being converted into state of art technology. According to the latest development in the medical world, new devices are being introduced here.

It is known that at the Chennai government multi specialty hospital latest superb technology like robotics have been introduced.  In this situation, KMCH has also been modernised. The TN govt has decided to upgrade the infrastructure at the Kilpauk govt hospital now as it is being visited by many patients every day. A new 6 storey has been constructed and this new building is being upgraded with modern medical facilities with 450 beds etc.

Important details about 6 storey tower building:

At a cost of Rs 358.87 crores, the 6 storey building has been constructed in an area of 24973 sq m. It is noteworthy that the medical facilities have been improved through the TN Health project with the help of the Japan International Cooperation Agency. Information gathered is that urology, neurology, cardiology, operation theatres, emergency ward, etc that were previously functioning in the old buildings have been shifted to the new building now. As the old building was found to be unsuitable (as per the PWD) for functioning of these medical units, a new building was built.

 It was later mentioned by some hospital sources that the new building was constructed to handle the increasing crowd. It added that the neurology and cardiology departments were upgraded. Patients could be provided with new additional facilities at this new building and this was mentioned by the dean of KMH Dr. Muthuselvan. He confirmed that the new building would be open for public use from 17th onwards.
