The news that many engineering aspirants have taken up AI or Artificial Intelligence as their course in their engineering in TN has been the subject for discussions for many now.
There are lots of job opportunities for the AI course and due to this many aspirants have taken up this course in their engineering studies. It is known that there are 160780 seats in the 442 engineering colleges across TN and in this academic year admission for the engg students has been completed in 3 rounds. The student enrolment has increased to 13percent now when compared to the previous year.
Various choices of the aspirants:
As per the choice of the aspirants, computer science engineering is at first position and next is ECE and third is IT and the fourth is AI and Data Science. Truth is that 10% of the engg aspirants have opted for these courses in this academic year. From just 70 colleges that offered AI courses in 2020, the numbers of colleges that are offering AI have increased to 270 now.
The education experts have explained that the demand for those who have studied AI has been increasing. This has been responsible for the increase in the enrolment of the students for AI now. They have added that for the students to complete the AI course successfully then qualified teachers were very necessary. Information is that out of 442 engineering colleges that took part in the counselling in just 61 colleges less than 10% students have enrolled. Remaining seats might get filled up in the supplementary counselling.
