Changes in Train Services on Chennai Egmore - Villupuram Route for Passenger Safety

In a bid to prioritize passenger safety and the overall safety of train operations, the Chennai Egmore – Villupuram railway section will undergo essential engineering works, necessitating Line Block/Power Block at Villupuram Yard. These scheduled activities will take place on the 9th, 11th, 16th, 23rd, and 25th of September 2023. As a result, several MEMU Express Special train services will be affected.
Partial Cancellation of MEMU Express Special Train Services:
1. Train No. 06725 (Melmaruvathur – Villupuram MEMU Express Special): On the mentioned dates (9th, 11th, 16th, 23rd, and 25th September 2023), Train No. 06725, which departs from Melmaruvathur at 11:45 hrs, will be partially cancelled between Mundiyampakkam and Villupuram. Passengers are advised to plan their travel accordingly.
2. Train No. 06726 (Villupuram - Melmaruvathur MEMU Express Special): Likewise, Train No. 06726, departing from Villupuram at 13:40 hrs, will also experience partial cancellation between Villupuram and Mundiyampakkam on the same dates - 9th, 11th, 16th, 23rd, and 25th September 2023. Passengers are encouraged to check for alternative travel options.
