"To prevent fake documents from being registered and to ensure that the Registration Department earns the revenues due, several progressive activities have been undertaken and initiated.

Concealing the fact that construction already exists in the area, some individuals have registered documents claiming it as a vacant plot. This significantly impacts the revenue of the Registration Department.

Therefore, advice was given last week to capture a photograph with `Geo Coordinates` of the vacant plots, which must be attached when applying for registration.

Geo Coordinates:

In this context, complaints have been received that photographs of adjacent vacant plots are being taken and submitted as proof of documents. The State Government of Tamil Nadu has decided to conduct a comprehensive analysis of this issue.

Consequently, an order has been issued to the Head of the Department of Registration, mandating that all Registration Offices MUST follow the procedure of capturing photographs of the respective properties with `Geo Coordinates.` These photographs MUST be attached to the property registration applications.

The Head of the Registration Department will provide the relevant details and guidelines for this procedure. It is important to note that THIS PROCEDURE MUST BE FOLLOWED IN ALL PROPERTY REGISTRATION OFFICES STARTING FROM THE 1ST OF OCTOBER!"
